History
2 year old female in MVC
Major Findings
- Small (3 mm) subdural hematoma along the cerebral falx with subtle trace blood along the tentorium
Teaching Points
Below the level of the superior sagittal sinus, the cerebral falx should be paper thin (look at the normal anterior falx).
If the falx is thicker than a sheet of paper, suspect a subdural hematoma, especially in the setting of trauma.
