R ACA
Points:
Presence of acute infarction: Yes
Location:
right frontal lobe, medial frontal gyrusTerritory: right ACA
Etiology: Ischemic
Mass effect: None
Example report text:
There is a small region of hypoattenuation in the medial frontal gyrus of the right frontal lobe consistent with acute right ACA territory infarction. There is no significant mass effect or hemorrhagic transformation.
Discussion:
This is a small infarct that would be easy to miss if you were not specifically looking for it. Using a more narrow
stroke window (also known as a 40/40 window, because the window level an window width are both set to 40) can help accentuate the hypoattenuation in this region and improve detection.
