Major Findings
Teaching Points
Pre-septal = periorbital = may be managed with PO antibiotics
Post-septal = intraorbital = requires IV antibiotics
Complications to look for in orbital cellulitis:
- Subperiosteal abscess
- Intraorbital abscess
- Proptosis
- Superior ophthalmic vein thrombosis
- Intracranial spread of infection
