PNR Head 06
History
11 year 9 month old in an MVC
Major Findings
- Small hemorragic foci in the right frontal area- hardt o tell whether these are parenchymal contusions or small subpial (extra-axial) hemorrhages
- Subtle asymmetric hyperdensity in the right lateral ventricle, which may represent intraventricular hemorrhage or a choroid plexus calcification
Teaching Points
Learn your blind spots and incorporate them into your search pattern.
Common blind spots include the inferior frontal lobes and the cerebellum. These areas can be tricky since they often contain streak artifact from the skull base.
Use your sagittal views to double check yourself in these blind spots.
